From weekly drama classes to fun-filled holiday workshops, we welcome children aged 6-18 years, no matter what level of experience you may have. At Dorking School of Performing Arts, we strive to ensure that all our activities are as affordable and accessible as possible, whilst maintaining high-quality teaching from industry professionals. All our teachers are Enhanced DBS checked, helping ensure that your child is in safe hands.

About Us

Who Are We

Dorking School of Performing Arts was launched in September 2017, as part of the Mole Valley Arts Alive Festival, and is part of Big Bold Youth. Since it’s launch, the school has provided countless weekly drama classes for local aspiring thespians, and various holiday drama workshops to keep them entertained in between!

James Percy-Smith
James Percy-Smith
Drama Teacher
James Percy-Smith is a professional actor, voice over artist and presenter, having spent four years training in theatre, screen and radio acting at Drama Centre London and Italia Conti Academy. Since graduating, James has worked on various projects including feature and short films, animations, e-learning videos, a live kids game show at Maidstone Studios and most recently, James has played the role of Lady Bracknell in a touring theatrical production of The Importance Of Being Earnest in Italy. James is really excited to be teaching this term and is looking forward to welcoming our current and new students!
Olivia Owen
Olivia Owen
Assistant Drama Teacher
Olivia is a training young actor with the National Youth Theatre and various classical local companies. She has recently finished college and is hoping to continue her training at drama school over the coming years. Over this next year, Olivia has been accepted into a film course with the Middleweek Newton Academy and is hoping to extend a current verbatim script to take to the Fringe. Olivia is really looking forward to joining the Dorking team and meeting you all this term!
